Teresa Doherty is a poet and multimedia artist currently living in Farmington, N.M. She graduated in 2021, from John Paul University in Northern San Diego County, with a B.A. in Philosophy and Theology.
Artist Statement
As an artist, Teresa Doherty strives to capture the constant cascade of contemporary energies as paired with the mysterious aspects of the unseen. Teresa experiments in visual arts, poetry, and songwriting, specifically as through the lens of colorful New Mexican, Southwestern, and Colombian art. She is currently pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing and Multi-Medium Art from Pacific Northwest College of Art. I would like the viewer to interact with the paintings, to notice the details and to be pulled in to explore a bit more.
