My journey as an artist began when I was a kid and has taken many turns over the years. I got a BFA in Art Education and taught for a few years. I worked in retail at The Denver Art Museum for most of my career. Most of my free time over these years was used to create. I explored fiber, sculpture and jewelry. After I retired my interest turned to doll making and eventually to painting.
Artist Statement
I don't know exactly what I'm doing when I paint. I hope I never know! My objective is to is to explore and experiment. I love the process. Color, texture, pattern and line call to me as I work through the painting. "What would happen if I tried this..." and "Would I like it better if..." are questions that present themselves. Is there and absolute answer? Absolutely not.
