Artist Statement
During the covid epidemic I began reviewing my previous work and became more aware of my ongoing use of geometric forms in many of my paintings. This is a shape that I enjoy and have returned to over the years. In 2020, and reflecting on this, I started and still continue with a series called Quadrilaterals. Each painting is somewhat different from the others and is based on a family member or a previous family dog. The color plays a major factor in the work as it conjures up a memory of a particular person.
