Stephanie McCloud was born in 1983 and currently lives in New Mexico. In 2005 she earned a BFA in Studio Art and has since maintained a small but devoted studio practice. She balances being a wife, mother, and artist with an art collection management business and part-time homeschooling.
Artist Statement
My watercolor collages are created in a manner that strongly reflects my daily life; an exercise in attention, care, and prioritization. Created by what happens to catch my eye on the studio table at the moment, the goal is to reach an efficiency and satisfaction that echoes my desire for these things in other parts of my life. I work on the collages in brief waves until they feel soft, but exact. Uncomplicated, but enough.
